IN BETWEEN
For those in need of soulfood, inspiration, a good giggle
Take one pencil, typewriter, spoon…
With a passion for fashion, I’ve always yearned to be in the ‘stylish and elegant with just a tad of edgy’ category versus the ‘try too hard edging on mutton dressed as lamb’; a challenge faced by many and a battle not for the faint of heart. Thus it was with heart a flutter I came across these beautiful pieces, clearly designed to transcend such anguish and each a spectacular piece of uniqueness…enter Mary Katrantzou.
Crowned the ‘Queen of Prints’ thanks to her brilliant trompe l’oeil designs, look closely and you will see that Mary has taken pencils, typewriters, cutlery and everyday items and created a whole new edgy, unique and ever so flattering silhouette. But what do you think?
PS: Peter Pilotto and Erdem following closely in Mary’s footsteps…now if only my retail therapy budget was unlimited!!
On black & white
Just loving this moody family shot…mysterious, sexy, dangerous…
