Pinky Promises. Heard about them? Well, given this blog focuses on quality of life at work and play, I became a tad excited when I discovered Pink Hope’s Pinky Promise concept. Pink Hope is a preventative health organisation working to ensure every individual can assess, manage and reduce their risk of breast and ovarian cancer, while providing personalised support for at risk women. The Pinky Promise concept centres on ensuring that no matter what, you’ll have your BFF’s back when it comes to their health, while Pink Hope will have yours.
Yep, it’s all about looking out for one another. As simple as making a pinkie promise with your bestie on one thing you will do to maintain your well-being and then, because nothing exists unless it’s documented on social media, posting a selfie sharing your promises #BFFPinkyPromise.
A selfie that could just help save you (and your bestie’s) life!
Elle editor-in-chief Justine Cullen and Pink Hope founder Krystal Barter made the promises: ‘to get more sleep‘ and ‘always be in control of my health and be my own health advocate‘ to one another. Models Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Lily Aldridge shared’To meditate daily’ and ‘to always remember what matters in life is health and happiness’ and from Blogger’s Elle Ferguson and Tash Sefton of ‘They All Hate Us’ Blog – ‘I promise to breathe and put myself first!‘ and ‘I promise to lose my phobias that stop me from getting health checks‘
Love your bestie to the moon and back? Why not sidle up to them, check out the PinkyPromise instructions, make your Pinky Promises to one another then post #BFFPinkyPromise to the site. See you there!
