Artist Jacob Hashimoto’s beautiful work with bamboo and paper. New York based, he draws on this Japanese heritage with sculptural installations with an interactive element. Armada is Hashimoto’s installation of 700 plus suspended wooden sailboats that bob along an invisible ocean sailboat; each one hangs as an attachment to a larger entity, reacting to tugs or movement of its extended limb. A beautiful piece of work indeed!
